Make osteoarthritis less of a pain with Voltarol Osteoarthritis Joint Pain Relief Gel. Clinically proven to relieve pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis. A clinical study has shown that Voltarol Osteoarthritis Joint Pain Relief Gel is as effective as taking 400mg oral ibuprofen for arthritis of the fingers.
*For arthritis pain it may be necessary to apply the gel for up to 7 days to allow its effect to build up on the joint and before an improvement in pain is noticed.
Unlike products such as heat patches and cooling gels that work by only cooling or heating the skin, Voltarol Osteoarthritis Joint Pain Relief Gel contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) called diclofenac which targets pain at its source. Emulgel technology helps the gel to penetrate deeply into the skin to enhance delivery of diclofenac to the point of pain. Applying the gel 3 or 4 times a day produces a reservoir of the active ingredient diclofenac in your skin to provide a sustained source of diclofenac. The gel works by blocking production of some of the body's chemicals that cause pain, tenderness and swelling (inflammation) – so relieving your pain to help restore your mobility!
The Voltarol Osteoarthritis Joint Pain Relief Gel combines the benefit of a moisturising cream with the properties of a gel. The gel helps the active ingredient diclofenac get through the skin barrier as well as offering a cooling effect to ease the painful and red areas of the body.
Contains diclofenac diethylammonium. Always read the label.
Voltarol Osteoarthritis Joint Pain Relief Gel is a medicated treatment containing a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The active ingredient (diclofenac) penetrates the skin to provide relief of pain and inflammation. It works differently from heat or cooling rubs, which contain ingredients that stimulate nerves in the skin, to provide a sensation of heating or cooling.
Voltarol Osteoarthritis Joint Pain Relief Gel is non-greasy, with no strong odour.
Emulgel is a technology designed for Voltarol Emulgel formulation. It helps the gel to penetrate deeply into the skin. In addition, the Emulgel technology uses a unique combination of a gel and cream to provide both a cooling and soothing effect when applied to the skin.
Gently rub or massage in a small amount of gel into the skin around the painful or swollen area. An amount ranging in size from a cherry to a walnut will usually be sufficient. However, the amount of gel needed will vary depending upon the size of the painful or swollen area. Check the label of the product you are using for correct dosage information.
