How to Use Frontline Spray for Dogs and Cats:

Preparation:

  1. Weigh Your Pet: Accurately weigh your pet to determine the correct dosage.
  2. Adjust Nozzle: Turn the nozzle of the spray bottle to the spray setting.
  3. Protective Gear: Wear PVC or nitrile gloves to avoid contact with the spray.

Application:

  1. Distance: Hold the spray bottle 10-20 cm away from your pet's body.
  2. Apply Against Hair Growth: Spray the solution against the lay of the hair, ensuring the entire coat is dampened.
  3. Ruffle the Coat: Particularly for long-haired pets, ruffle the coat to allow the product to penetrate to the skin level.
  4. Head Area: For treating the head or for young or nervous pets, spray onto a gloved hand and gently rub it into the coat.

Dosage:

  • Dogs and Cats: Depending on the length of the hair, apply 3 to 6 ml per kg of body weight. This translates to 2 to 4 pump applications for the 250 ml and 500 ml bottles.

Drying:

  1. Natural Drying: Allow your pet to dry naturally. Do not towel dry.
  2. Ventilated Area: Make sure your pet dries in a well-ventilated room. Keep away from heat sources for at least 30 minutes after application.

Post-Application:

  1. Handwashing: Dispose of gloves and wash your hands with soap and water.
  2. Pet Interaction: Do not handle the pet until the fur is completely dry.

Special Notes:

  • Retreatment: Do not reapply within 4 weeks.
  • Swimming: Dogs should not swim in water courses for 2 days after application.
  • Environmental Treatment: It's advisable to treat pet bedding and other areas with suitable insecticides such as Frontline Homegard for a more comprehensive flea and tick control strategy.
