Calmer Bites are handy bite sized treats ideal for horses with anxiety in exciting, stressful or new environments such as travelling, hacking & competing, helping them stay calm, confident, relaxed & less anxious without compromising performance.
Made with the amino acid L-Tyrosine to help with the production of Dopamine, Adrenaline and Norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters can effect behaviour when depleted.
Formulated with the key ingredients L-Tyrosine, Vitamin C, Fenugreek and Zinc making Calmer Bites highly effective and palatable treats. Helps horses with anxious, nervous behaviour stay calm and focused.
Baked by hand for consistency & quality, each Calmer Bite™ is carefully cut and weighed to ensure your horse is getting the correct amounts of the active ingredient L-Tyrosine.
L-Tyrosine
L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that is used by the body to make neurotransmitters, such as Dopamine, Adrenaline and Norepinephrine. Under stress, the body burns through these neurotransmitters which can lead to insufficient levels in the brain and that can impact behavioural issues. Replenishing levels of L-Tyrosine can help maintain normal levels of these neurotransmitters helping your horse stay calm, relaxed, confident & focused.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)
Vitamin C is key for immune health and is an antioxidant, helping protect the brain and nervous system from oxidative damage. Vitamin C is also involved in the synthesis of Dopamine and Norepinephrine, brain chemicals that influence mood and behaviour.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek is a herb that contains a natural source of nutrients including Iron, fibre and Vitamins A, B6 & C and stimulates appetite due to it’s smell and flavour.
Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate
Zinc Sulphate is vital for healthy neurotransmitter activity, including Serotonin and Dopamine which are key brain chemicals that influence mood and behaviour.
Feeding Guidelines
Feed 1-2 Calmer Bites™ 1 hour before required. May be topped up every 3 hours.
Can also be fed the 2-3 days consecutively leading up to the potentially exciting or stressful situation.
Over time, your horse should gain confidence and need them less.
Can be fed alongside Calmer PRO™.
Contains Molasses. For horses with Metabolic issues feed Calmer PRO™ instead.
For best results, store in a cool dry place in an airtight container & use within 6 months of opening.

Postcodes outside of Zone 1 (including some areas within mainland UK) may incur extra carriage charges due to surcharges imposed by the couriers. These will be calculated on the website at the checkout.
