Battles Sheep Supplements & Vitamins

Generally speaking sheep will obtain most of the vitamins and minerals they require for their feed, provided they have access to plenty of fresh pasture. However, when on winter feed or if kept on poor land or if they have an underlying condition they may require supplementation with vitamins and minerals by way of a sheep mineral drench. This can be particularly important during the breeding season as well as during lambing when they may require calcium supplementation for example. Twin lamb drench can prove particularly invaluable to prevent twin lamb disease. 

Sheep supplements come in a number of forms depending upon the supplement and can be injected, drenched or bolused as well as provided in lick form as a feed supplement.
