KalmAid Tablets
KalmAid is an L-Tryptophan-based nutritional supplement that helps to calm small animals during periods of stress and anxiety. It can also be used to manage long-term behavioral issues.
KalmAid contains L- tryptophan and green tea extract. Green tea provides a source of L-theanine and when combined with L-tryptophan supply the essential amino acids which help stimulate the production of serotonin. Serotonin plays an important role in maintaining calm and relaxation in animals. KalmAid also contains Thiamine (Vitamin B1). Deficiency in this crucial vitamin has been associated with nervous disorders.
Recommended dose:
< 5 kg 1 tablet
5 – 10 kg 1.5 tablets
10 – 20 kg 2 tablets
20 – 30 kg 2.5 tablets
Over 30 kg 3 tablets
Usage Notes:
For short-term use, give 1-2 hours before ‘anxious event’. Intake can be increased if required for individual cases. For an individual event likely to cause fear or anxiety give a single double amount appropriate for animals weight, preferably one hour before the required effect. This can be repeated if necessary up to 3 times daily. For long-term management of behavioral problems, give half the above amount daily. Reduce the amount given with improvement and repeat for flare up. As all pets are individuals, the requirements may vary. A trial may be necessary to determine the current amount for an individual animal. Store in a cool, dry place between 15-25 degrees celsius. Keep out of direct sunlight.
Ingredients:
Sorbitol, glycerine, vitamin B3, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, L- tryptophan, L-theanine, salmon flavor, microrystalline cellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, Xanthan gum, benzoic acid, polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monooleate. Analytical constituents: Crude Carbohydrate 38.3% Crude Protein 3.7% Crude Oils & Fats <0.5% Crude Fibre 0.5% Crude Ash <0.5% Moisture 58%. Calorie content: 168 kcal/100g.
How to Use:
For an individual event likely to cause fear or anxiety, give a small cat 1 pump daily and a large cat 2 pumps daily 1-2 hours before the anxious event. For long-term management for behavioral problems, give small and large cats half the amount above daily. Apply to the back of the paw or onto food.
