Metacam Chewable Tablets for Dogs
What is it?
Metacam chewable tablets for dogs contain a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which
is a type of painkiller used to reduce pain and inflammation in dogs.
It can be used for both chronic (long-term) musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, and acute
(sudden and short-lived) musculoskeletal disorders, such as an injury.
Metacam chewable tablets for dogs are available in 2 strengths: 1 mg tablets and 2.5 mg tablets.
Metacam helps improve the quality and enjoyment of life for pets with arthritis and is the UK’s No.1
medication for pain and inflammation in dogs (MAT value, Kynetec Sep 2023).
How is it administered?
Metacam chewable tablets can be given with or without food and are flavoured so that most
dogs will readily accept them. Each chewable tablet can be halved to enable accurate dosing
of dogs from 4 kg. For dogs weighing less than 4 kg, Metacam 1.5 mg/ml oral suspension for dogs
should be used.
Important information
Metacam can only be obtained with a prescription. Do not use Metacam chewable tablets in dogs
weighing less than 4 kg. For further information about using Metacam, see the package leaflet or

NB: Orders placed with faster delivery must be placed before 13:00 to ensure same day dispatch (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Please also check on the product page that the items ordered show 'In Stock' otherwise your order will be delayed until the stock becomes available, which in most cases will only be 24hrs.
