Eukanuba Veterinary Diet Intestinal For Dogs
Key Benefits:
MOS (mannanoligosaccharides) - binds potentially pathogenic bacteria preventing them from adhering to the intestinal wall and excreting them safely with the faeces
Beet pulp - a moderately fermentable fibre that produces butyrate, a short chain fatty acid (SCFA), which is a preferential energy source for the enterocytes and promotes intestinal health. Helps regain optimal stool consistency.
Low fat levels - decrease the workload of the pancreas and help digestive function that can be compromised by GI issues. Help minimise steatorrhea.
Targeted omega-6: omega-3 fatty acid ratio - helps nutritionally manage inflammation at the cellular level
Eukanuba Veterinary Diets Intestinal dry food for dogs is intended for the reduction of acute intestinal absorptive disorders and as a compensation for maldigestion, including chronic pancreatic insufficiency. Intestinal is also intended for the regulation of lipid (fat) metabolism in the case of hyperlipidaemia (high blood fat). The recipe includes MOS (mannanoligosaccharides) which binds potentially pathogenic bacteria preventing them from adhering to the intestinal wall and excreting them safely with the faeces. Additionally, the food contains beet pulp. This moderately fermentable fibre produces butyrate, a short chain fatty acid (SCFA) serving as a preferential energy source for the enterocytes. It promotes intestinal health and helps to regain optimal stool consistency. The overall low fat levels decrease the workload of the pancreas and in this way support the digestive function that can be compromised by GI issues. Furthermore, it helps to minimise steatorrhea. Moreover, the targeted ratio of the fatty acids omega-6 and omega-3 helps to nutritionally manage inflammation at the cellular level. It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use in order to determine the needs of your dog.
