Diatom is a 100% natural product, prepared from the fossilised remains of ancient shell creatures and so is totally inert – and safe to humans and animals.

Residual red mite control

Begin treatment before you see any sign of red mite, as once they are visible to the naked eye the problem is much harder to control.

Use for long lasting residual control of red mites and insects, apply to your hen house once or twice a week, depending on the level of infestation, in a thick layer around the inside edge of your hen house, sprinkle in the nest boxes and around perches, the Diatom 450g "puffer pack" is the easiest way to apply the Diatom.  If your chicken has a dust bath, sprinkle a good handful over this too so that your birds can dust themselves down with Diatom - providing extra protection to themselves.

The most effective way to control red mite is to use the two pronged attack; firstly wash away the red mites habitat with the Poultry Shield and then use Diatom for residual red mite control.

Feed supplement
For Poultry add 1-2 teaspoons of Diatom per bird daily to their feed.
Add one large heaped teaspoonful per day for dogs over 25kg. For smaller dogs and cats add one level teaspoonful per day in their feed.
Add 2% of Diatom to feed for pigs, goats, sheep and horse Rations

Postcodes outside of Zone 1 (including some areas within mainland UK) may incur extra carriage charges due to surcharges imposed by the couriers. These will be calculated on the website at the checkout. 

NB: Orders placed with faster delivery must be placed before 13:00 to ensure same day dispatch (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Please also check on the product page that the items ordered show 'In Stock' otherwise your order will be delayed until the stock becomes available, which in most cases will only be 24hrs.
